DNA was done and we received the results - Caylie and her Birth Mom are a 99.99% match! This is wonderful news. Along with the results were two polaroid pictures of Caylie and her birth mom. She is a pretty, young lady who looks like she loves Caylie very much. I feel very lucky to have these pictures to share with Caylie when she is a young lady.
Next step: Now we wait for the US Embassy to give us Pre-Approval. Supposedly, this can take anywhere from 30-45 days after DNA. This Pre-Approval is needed to enter the last step of the adoption - PGN. PGN is Guatemala's equivalent to our Attorney's General office.
