Happy Birthday Jim/Grandpa!
Sometimes I feel like we all got robbed by losing Jim so suddenly but mostly I feel so sad that Caylie will grow up without her wonderful Grandpa. Then I remember that he is supposed to be in a better place. He doesn't have to worry about bills, about taking care of Mom and making sure she is ok, about his constant battle with smoking, about his diabetes, about the Dolphins, about who will be the next President of the United States, etc. I struggle at times in believing that there really is a Heaven and that he is looking down on us but if we don't believe than where does that leave us with his memory? If only we had the answers! This man was so wonderful. He was good, he was kind and he loved with all of his heart. He cared about everyone else and seldom wanted for anything other than to see his family happy and healthy. Missing him never gets easier - every single time I look at my Mom I see his face too. He was so proud of all of us and so non-judgemental. We all still feel the loss of him so strongly.
